Animation isn't just something I do for a living, it's my lifelong passion. I grew up watching NFB shorts on a 16mm projector and doodling flip-books in my textbooks. The first time I saw my cutout creations spring to life at animation camp, I was hooked. More than two decades since Sheridan College's Classical Animation program, making inanimate characters move on screen hasn't lost its magic.
I've had quite an animated journey starting from Richard Williams' monolithic hand-drawn 'The Thief and the Cobbler' to the CG blockbuster 'Justice League'. Along the way I've retrained myself several times to adapt to changing technology. I developed teaching and freelancing skills so I could focus more on my family while staying current in the industry. Teaching helped me transition into leadership roles like Animation Lead on an Ice Age short, Animation Series Director and short film series Director. I've continuously renewed my knowledge through masterclasses, workshops and self-study in skills like Life Drawing, Improv and Stage Combat. My animation heroes are lifelong learners who are insatiably curious about the observational world.
