Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
I have been in the field of learning and development for more than 20 years and currently work for Wells Fargo, a diversified financial services company providing banking, insurance, investments, mortgage and consumer and commercial finance across North American and internationally.
At Wells Fargo, I lead a group of home mortgage learning and development design consultants across the United States. I build and maintain collaborative business partnerships at all leadership levels across business lines.
Here’s a bit of what we can cover in our PivotPlanet session(s):
• Consulting – how to show a return on investment for training and justify training results.
• Adult learning – the importance of having a solid grasp of learning theories.
• Change – how to manage industry change by using a solid change model.
• Facilitation – how to develop successful facilitators and ensure they continue to be relevant.
• Leadership – how to develop effective leaders in today’s society to capitalize on their talents and grow business.
With the ever-changing climate of the financial industry, it takes finesse and flexibility to continue to be successful. Having an opportunity to work on large initiatives that will change the landscape in which I work is thrilling. Leading some of the most creative minds in the industry has impacted my perspective of the financial sector and shaped the way I approach change.
I have an innate ability to architect and drive change. I direct activities involved in needs evaluation and design and prepare training delivery to ensure consistent operational training mechanisms. I direct training around OCC, NSS, CFPB and other regulatory drivers. I consult with my business partners to define a mission and desired outcomes and then set performance standards, link budget to performance, report results and hold employees accountable for results.
My training and development specialties include: adult learning, change management, competency modeling, consulting facilitator skill development, leadership development, organizational development, performance management, public speaking, strategic partnerships, succession planning, training and development. I have helped to develop standards in training that have remained in place and assisted in winning the Malcolm Baldridge Award for organizational excellence.
