It is exciting to play a role in helping people reach their fitness goals. I have worked with people who had no idea how to get started. I help them to focus and develop step-by-step action plans with deadlines and goals which enable them to reach their full personal training potential.
I work with Corporate Sports Unlimited, a company that professionally manages fitness centers as well as health and wellness programs for large businesses. Centrally located in Atlanta, GA, Corporate Sports Unlimited manages facilities for Georgia Pacific, UPS, COX Enterprises and Delta Airlines. The company employs roughly 100 people.
As the general manager and personal trainer for the Delta Airlines Corporate Fitness Center, my role is to create programs that promote healthy living and to insure the center operates within budget levels. I have a wonderful staff I have trained and developed who are committed to providing excellent health and wellness services.

Many people think once your certification is in hand money will just fall from the sky. That couldn't be further from the truth. I want to help people interested in the personal training business learn how to build a successful career…not just take another job.
I have had several positions, but all of them have been in the health and fitness industry. I worked as a salesman of fitness equipment and as a wellness associate for Georgia State University's Student Recreation Center. I started at Corporate Sports Unlimited as a wellness associate, promoting programs and helping members with their personal training goals.
I took a leave of absence from CSU to obtain my master’s degree, but I was able to complete that degree while continuing my career as a personal trainer at a high-end athletic club in Los Gatos, CA. Upon completing my degree, I accepted the general manager and personal training position at the Delta Air Lines Corporate Fitness Center.
While I have always been in the fitness industry, choosing my career and its direction was a challenging process. I was fortunate to have a lot of options, but decided to remain in the fitness industry as a manger and a personal trainer. I learned people underestimate the value of personal contact. Meeting someone face to face and helping them achieve a health and fitness goal is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have. Trainers should possess this desire. Clients can sense if your motives are simply financially driven, and it can be a major turn off for them.
