I enjoy working with people more than anything and love the relationships I build with my clients, while also building my business.
I have been in the insurance business since 2004 and am the owner and president of Med-City Insurance Services, a multi-line independent insurance agency. I have one employee, and we work with 50 plus insurance companies to make sure our clients receive the best possible product at a very competitive rate. To insure the successful growth of my company, I have systems in place in every aspect of my business – sales process, client retention, claims and client acquisition.
Here’s a bit of what we can cover in our PivotPlanet session(s):
• How to build a top insurance agency.
• How to position yourself as the top agent in your community.
• How to network and create business building relationships.
• How to goal set and plan for a successful business.
• How to retain clients once you have earned their business.
• How to build a top insurance business based on referrals.
I like being on my own as a business owner and building a successful business from the ground up. I enjoy the challenge of always having to figure out ways not to stagnate, but continue to stay fresh and grow as a business owner. The income potential and flexible schedule are also pluses.
I was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army National Guard and was deployed for 15 months to Kuwait as a platoon leader. I was awarded the Army Accommodation Medal and two Army Achievement Medals. I gained great leadership characteristics that have helped me in the business world and given me the skills to help others succeed in building a successful insurance business. I also have coached football at our local community college and high school. I have a teaching degree in physical education.
My specific areas of expertise in the insurance business are building a quality book of business through networking, community involvement, communication skills, and my involvement with NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors). I have been the local chapter president for NAIFA.
There is no reason to recreate the wheel when starting your own insurance business. By working with someone like me who has been in the business, you can benefit from the skills and plans that have made me successful. You just need to be willing to learn and take direction and guidance and then have the discipline and dedication to stick to it.
