I get to help people achieve their life dreams and goals. There is nothing more satisfying than that! I simply love what I do for a living.
I knew early on I wanted a career where I was in charge of my own success with no ceiling but my own limitation. As a financial planner, that’s exactly what I get. If I succeed it is my doing, and if I fail it is my fault.
I’ve been in business since 1989 and I work with a company with four employees. We have $2 million in annual sales of financial service products and services.
One of the best parts about being a financial planner is I’m rewarded for the work I do, not just for showing up. I make my own hours and see as many people as I want to in a week.
Nothing can describe how rewarding it is to help people become more financially secure. To see them be able to afford retirement, sending their kids to college or to provide for their families is a joy. I also get to share my interests and passions with my clients and we all enjoy life a little more.
Our company specializes in creating "recession proof" retirement income for people who are retired or about to retire.
I’m proud of many of my accomplishments. I’ve been in the top 200 sales for our US firm for the last two years. I’ve written four books. Two are about marketing, one is financial and I’ve also written a book for children. I’m also happy that this career gave me the flexibility to be able to care for my Mom in the last years of her life.
My degree is of Chartered Financial consultant and Retirement Planning Specialist from the Wharton Business School
Financial planning can be a great career. If you are trustworthy and truly care about your clients’ well being, you will be rewarded financially. In your first year you can expect to make $30,000-50,000, unless you know very affluent people. In that case, expect to make a lot more. I’ve grown my income by 20% each year and think that is a very attainable goal.
